User profiles

Setup of a User Profile

Profiles are user records without connections to persons.

You can assign specific rights to the profiles and allocate the profiles to users.

  1. Login - you need to enter a name for the new user profile
  2. Password - although you cannot login with a user profile you have to enter a password because this field is mandatory in the user record.
  3. Person - if you create a user record via user master data, a connection to a person isn't possible.
  4. Function - selection of the function. Each function has its own default rights that the profile will inherit through the allocation.
  1. Restrictions: Like in "normal" user records you can set restrictions on bookable length and cancellation budgets for the profile.
  2. User Profile: On initial save the user record is tagged as "user profile".

Assignment of rights

In rights management you assign specific rights to the user profile.

This is what a usable profile might look like.

Allocation of profiles to users

The profile is assigned to the user in user master data. The user will inherit all rights that are allocated to the profile.

Please note: the function of the profile overrules the function of the actual user!
