Sales Branches

With Sales Branches, it is possible to create different rights partitions, where, for instance, a User from one Sales Branch cannot see the Orders, Suborders, Campaigns etc. from a User of a different branch.

The Sales Branch module

Sales Branch records can be created or edited via MasterData > Clients > RMS Branch.

  1. Identifier - Identifier of the Sales Branch.
  2. Name - Name of the Sales Branch.
  3. Comment - Optionally a comment can be entered.
  4. Parent - A parent Sales Branch can be selected here. The Sales Branch structure allows an unlimited hierarchy. The implications of a Sales Branch parent-children relation are explained below.
  5. Currency - Select here the currency.
  6. TimeZone - Select here the timezone.

User settings and their implications

A Sales Branch can be selected in the tab 'CRM' of the User record by using the drop-down list.
Delete a selected Sales Branch by clicking 'x'.
Clicking on '+' opens a new Sales Branch record.

If no Sales Branch is defined on User level (like in the screenshot), then:

Access to all Orders, Suborders, Campaigns, and Placements is granted (if according to User rights, the User can see these modules).

If a Sales Branch is defined on User level, then:

Orders, Suborders, Campaigns, and Placements that are linked to the same Sales Branch or any of its children (no matter which level) are visible. In other words, they are visible if there is a path from the Sales Branch on the record up to the User's Sales Branch. See below for more information on linking Orders etc. to a Sales Branch.

Order settings and their implications

If no Sales Branch is defined on an entity (Orders, Suborders, Campaigns, Placements), it is visible for all Users.

Sales Branches on entities are aligned and derived from the Order settings (see screenshot). Orders, Suborders, Campaigns, and Placements that are linked to the same Sales Branch or any of its children (no matter which level) are visible for Users that have the same Sales Branch defined.
If a User has the right to change the Sales Branch on an Order, the User can (only) assign a Sales Branch to which he has visibility.
Entities created by a User will automatically get the Sales Branch that is assigned to the User.

Hierarchy

Users that have no Branch defined, can see all entities (in this case similar to Branch A).

Users with Branch A defined, can see A, B, C, D, and E.

Users with Branch B defined, can see B and C.

Users with Branch C defined, can only see C.
