Store Ad Server Costs

In this section you will learn how to store ad server costs for your agency or individual customers in MYOC.

See also Chapter 2: AdServer Setup.

General

Ad server costs can generally be stored at 3 different levels:

  • Agency group
  • Groups
  • Clients

All 3 elements are located in the mask "Clients" and are only differentiated by their type.

The ad server costs are arranged hierarchically. This means that MYOC first checks whether ad server costs are stored at Client level. If MYOC does not find anything there, it first looks at the Group level, then at the Agency group. If no ad server costs are found, they are not displayed for the planner.

Create Ad Server Costs

To open the mask "Clients", search for "Clients" via the search element in the left navigation bar.

Tip: You can fix the mask in your home menu using the pin at the upper right edge, so that you don't have to search for it when you call it up again, but it is displayed in the home menu by default.

In the displayed mask you can see all agency groups, agencies, groups and clients which you have the authorization for. By means of the type, you can see which element is involved.

HAGT = agency group
AGT = agency
KONZ = group
WT = client

Using the search window, you can search for the desired entry for which ad server costs are to be stored.

Important: Please always pay attention to the corresponding type of the element.

Double-click on the line to open the mask for the desired element.

First switch to the tab "Ad server costs". Then click on "Create Ad server costs" in the lower menu bar.

Important: Do not click on the "New" button. No ad server costs can be created via this button!

In the pop-up window that opens, you can now add a price entry for the desired element, which should be available for selection according to the planner.

You have the option

  • to store a price that is fixed and cannot be adjusted by the planner later,
  • or to store a price that can later be changed by the planner.

The following elements must be added as mandatory fields:

  1. Format - Here you can choose from all available ad server formats per ad server. In each case "Ad server format" is displayed. For missing ad servers or ad server formats please contact the support. Please select the format which you want to store a price for.
  2. Price - You have the option of storing a price with several decimal places. If you want the planner to be able to select the format and not be able to enter/adjust the price manually, the field must be filled.                                                                                                 Important: The price can currently only be stored with a dot as separator instead of a comma!
  3. Dummy price/can be overwritten - Activate the checkbox if you want the planner to be able to enter or adjust the price manually. If the checkbox is not selected, you must enter a price.
  4. Price type - The price models TKP, CPC and fixed price are at your disposal.
  5. Term -  By default, the term is set to the rest of the current calendar year, but can be changed manually if required.

Afterwards please save the entry using the orange "Save" button at the bottom right and close the window.

Note: The entry in the price list is only visible after switching between 2 tabs!

The ad server costs you have created can now be selected by the planner when creating an ad placement.

You now have the possibility to enter further ad server costs in the same way.

Editing Entries

If you want to edit an entry, open the entry by double-clicking on the corresponding table line. You can now make the changes you want in the entry itself. Then save the changed entry by clicking the "Save" button at the bottom right.

Deleting Entries

If an entry has been made incorrectly, it is possible to delete it.

Therefore open the entry by double-clicking on the table line. In the entry itself, open the context menu by clicking on the right button of your mouse. Then select "Delete record". You will then receive a confirmation of the deletion process.
