Creating a New User

There are generally two steps to follow when creating users.

  1. The creation of personal master data
  2. The creation of one or more user master data

All other data is supplied in Function & Profile. This data is managed centrally.

Creating Personal Data

The following fields must be completed for person master data:

  1. First name
  2. Name
  3. Active (attention: if this checkbox is deactivated, no user can be created)
  4. Function (Auswahlfeld )

All other fields are not relevant for the use of MYOC. These fields are relevant for using MYDAS as a CRM system.

èNotes can also be hidden ?!?

After saving the person master data, a button <Create user> appears in the lower area. By clicking on this button a user master data record is automatically created.

Creating User Master Data

The user master data mask is filled out as below:

  1. Login → Is assigned by the system using the first name and the last name
  2. Password → Assign initial password (must be changed by the user at the first login)
  3. Active check box (if the check mark is not set, the user is not activated)
  4. Function selection box
  5. Profile selection → are the rights of Dentsu imported???

When creating user master data, you can basically proceed in two ways.

Creation via the personal master data

In this case, the personal master data record is created as described in 6.2.1. and a user is created via the button <Create User>. This user appears in the user table when you go to the user master data via the menu.

New creation via the user master data table

In this case, you go to the user master data via the menu. Click on the <New> button and the empty master data mask appears which must be filled in. Here one selects first a <Person> and goes then on the other fields.

Assigning rights

All user rights are automatically assigned to the user via their function (see 6.2.2.)
