Account management

Account managers can be set automatically by connecting the company to sales areas, through client-relations resp. membership to clientgroups and through direct assignment of persons to the companies.

Direct assignment of account managers

Internal users with the respective rights can assign themselves as account managers to companies.

Persons that aren't connected to companies can be set as account managers via multiple selection.

Assignment through sales areas

If the company is connected to a sales area via client masterdata, the persons that are assigned to the sales area are automatically assigned to the company.

The sales areas that are selected in customer relations and orders are displayed in the client hierarchy.

Assignment through clientgroups

Through the "Supervised"-functionality on person-level it is possible to assign the person as account manager to particular companies. The preconditions for being able to do this are:

  • the person is connected to a company
  • there are client-relations or orders available that connect the company with other clients
  • the company of the person is member of a clientgroup. Due to the membership it is possible to assign the person to the companies connected to the other members.

Explanation of the situation in the screenshot:

  • person Mirko Mustermann is connected to company New Advertiser
  • company New Advertiser is connected to sales area Verkaufsgebiet 1 via company masterdata
  • company New Advertiser is member of clientgroup MP
  • company New Advertiser has relations (clientrelations and orders) with other companies
  • the other members of the clientgroup have relations with other companies
  • if you open the "Supervised"-selection for person Mirko Mustermann, he gets to see and to select:
              - the companies that New Advertiser has relations with
              - the companies that the other members of the clientgroup have relations with
