Detailed planning
In Detailed planning the breaks are optimized. There still are the possibilities of booking, canceling and rebooking spots before they are put on their final positions in the breaks for broadcasting. The user also can export a playlist containing the bookings for the broadcast day. Depending on the system settings the playlist export might only work if all spots are booked on materials.
But please note: materials are not supposed be booked in Detailed planning but in the Cockpit.

Selection area
In Detailed planning there is always one single CR- resp. broadcast-day displayed. The only filters that have effect on the displayed breaks are the media selection and the date- and time-fields. The remaining 6 fields in the upper selection area are used for booking.
- Media - selection of the channel whose program plan will be displayed.
- Order - selection of an order.
- Sub-Order - selection of a suborder. If there are packages available for the suborder, they are displayed in a separate drop down field.
- Product - selection of a product.
- Material - selection of a material.
- Length - the spot length can be inserted manually as long as no material has been selected.
- Price - book the spot on a fixed price / the inserted price is used as basis for the ratecard prices that are displayed for the breaks (e.g. 1.800 € / 20 sec. means that a 20 sec.-spot costs 1.800 € in this break => if you book a different length than the originally inserted, the price will be recalculated).
- Selection of a date. Additionally the user can choose between CR-day-view and broadcast-day-view by clicking the name CR-Day. The views may differ in start times of the broadcast days. The CR-day for instance may start at 1 a.m. while the official broadcast day starts at 6 a.m.
- Time from/to - only the breaks with start times within this time frame will be displayed. Due to the reference to the breaks' start times it might happen that program parts with start times outside the time range are also displayed.
- Break-offer - displays the breaks for the selected media and time frame.
- Export - creates a playlist with check on materials for the selected day. The playlist will only be created if all spots are booked on materials! (This is depending on the agreed workflow with each Cataneo customer!)
- Bookings-summary - creates a list that containes all bookings of the selected day. (This is depending on the agreed workflow with each Cataneo customer!)
- Export open materials - creates a playlist for the selected day that contains bookings with and without materials. (This is depending on the agreed workflow with each Cataneo customer!)
- Optimize breaks - reorganizes the spot positions in the breaks to place each spot on the best position possible.
- Open/ close all breaks - all breaks are opened and the booked spots become visible resp. all breaks are closed and the booked spots are hidden.
- Booking - book a spot with the selected order data on the selected break(s).
- Lock/ unlock breaks - all breaks that are currently displayed are locked for booking resp. are unlocked and set to bookable again. This is used to prevent finally planned breaks to be changed by any booking processes.
- Separates all tandem spots for the selected day into header and reminder spots.
- Show the clipboard.
- Remove all warning triangles.
- Hide all warning triangles.
- Hide all warning triangles from the displayed day on until the end of the year.
- Remove all warnings/ remove deleted breaks from the system.
- Save all displayed breaks and spot positions.
Break optimizing
- The identifiers (break category + break coding) of booked breaks are displayed bold. You can open one particular break by clicking on its identifier. Afterwards the bookeds spots will be visible.
- An empty checkbox indicates that the break is not locked. If the flag is set and the break is locked, it will not be possible to book or cancel spots on the break.
- Name of the break category resp. the genre of the program part
- Breaks with available length are highlighted green, overbooked breaks are highlighted red. Shadings indicate that product exclusions have been violated in this break.
- Information on favoured and/or paid positions (saved in suborder masterdata) are displayed in this column. Depending on system settings spots with position information might be automatically booked on the respective position via FairShare-Reorg or "Optimize breaks"-button.
- Product names are displayed in the colour that is stored in the branch that the product is allocated to. The colours don't have any special functions or effects on booking.
- If you want specific materials to be displayed in a certain colour, you can select and save the colour in material master data.
Rebooking of entire breaks
If want to move all spots of an entire break to a different break, you can drag and drop the source break on the target break.
Please note: the source break will be hidden after rebooking and will not be visible anymore. To rebook all spots without hiding the source break afterwards, you need to use the Rebook breaks-module.
Tandem spots
Tandem spots are highlighted in the breaks. It is neither possible to move split tandems to the clipboard nor to rebook the header (reminder) on a different break from its reminder (header).
- The tandem header which is always broadcasted previous to the reminder, is tagged with a coloured square.
- The reminder which follows the header, is tagged with a rhombus in the same colour as the header's square.
- The split tandem is rejoined by clicking on the zip-Button. Header and reminder are displayed within one booking and their lengths are added (e.g. 17+5).
- A joined tandem can be split into header and reminder by clicking on the ring of arrows.
- To undo the tandem and separate header and reminder into individual spots without tandem characteristics, you need to click on "TD".

If a part of a tandem is cancelled, the remaining spot keeps the tandem characteristics which might affect rebooking or modifications of the spot.
Spot modification
By clicking on the folder-button the spot is opened for modification.
There are a few rules for modification:
- Length changes are only allowed as long as no material is booked on the spot.
- You must remove the material and save the spot before you can modify the spot length.
- If the product is reset or replaced, the material is automatically reset to "not specified".

The break and program records contains additional information on the respective break or program. Although several fields are editable, you need to be careful with applying changes to the record as these changes might have unwelcome and unforseeable side-effects.
Booking of Co-Spots
If products of different clients share a bookable material, it is possible to book them together as Co-Spot.
Setup of Co-Spot products and materials
- The products need to be enabled for Co-Spot booking. Therefore you set the flag for "Combinable" in the product record.
- Now you need to connect both products to the bookable material in the material record.
- Finally the material needs to be enabled for Co-Spot booking aswell.
Book a spot on Co-Spot product A and product B on a break and make sure that the total length of both spots equals the length of the Co-Spot material which will be booked in the following steps.
