Tables in MYDAS

The master data tables are overviews of the data entries. You can use these tables to quickly search for entries and edit data. In this chapter we go step by step through all the tools you can use in this view. You will learn how to:

  • search data
  • sort data
  • export data
  • edit data;

and how you can configure the tables according to your individual wishes.

You will come across the tables in MYDAS in many places. These tables provide an overview and access to certain master data, but they can also be integrated into master data. However, the functionality and use is always the same.

Search Data

MYDAS offers two ways of searching for information:

In this chapter we cover the search for information within the entire table. For this we use the search field as marked below.

So if you are looking for information in the table, but you do not know exactly in which column this information can be found, then simply type a search term in the field and press enter. (1)

To reset the filter, simply remove the search term and click on the Reload button (2)

Another way to search for information is to use the Search columns. So if you know in which column the information you are looking for is located or if you want to filter for a certain characteristic, then this form is suitable. To do this, click on the magnifying glass next to the column label. A search field opens. Enter the term and click the Apply button.

You can easily recognize a filtered column, because the magnifying glass that is filtered is colored orange.

By clicking on the colored magnifying glass and then clicking the "UNDO" button, you reset the filter.

Sort Data

Of course, you can also sort the data in a column in ascending and descending order. Just click on the arrows next to the column name. The down arrow sorts the data in ascending order. Conversely, the up arrow sorts the data in descending order.

You can recognize the sorting by the coloring of the arrows.

Export Data

You can use the export function to download the data as an Excel file. You can find the export button to the left of the search field for the table search

Configuring the Table View

A really useful function is the table configuration. You can configure every table in MYDAS to meet your needs. The configuration remains under your account and is automatically applied when you call up the table. To configure a table, move your cursor over the table header and click with the right mouse button. A menu opens. Please select the entry, Configure Columns.

It saves a lot of time if you go through your most used master data tables, one time, and configure to your desired needs.

A pop-up window now opens in which all available columns are displayed. On the left side you can see all the columns that are currently displayed as "Active" (1). On the right side you will find columns that are currently hidden as "Inactive" (2).

You can now move the columns in both directions using drag & drop. For example, you click on an inactive column and drag it to active.

The new column is now displayed in light gray on the active page. Save your change. The field turns dark and after exiting the pop-up you will find the column in your table. In the same way you can hide fields from the table by moving the field from Active to Inactive.

By changing the order of the fields using drag & drop, you can also set the order of the columns on the UI. The order from top to bottom represents the order in the reading direction from left to right, with the first digit on the far left.

You can also easily select fields from active to inactive or from inactive to active by double-clicking the relevant field.

Table Action Button

Another very useful function can be the Table Action button. You can find this function in the table configuration just shown at the very end of the Inactive column.

Move this column to the first column of the Active column.

After saving, you will now find a gear ICON at the beginning of your table. If you click on this icon, a menu opens with shortcuts that are available to you for this data record. Depending on the type of master data, these can be more or fewer commands. However, this function helps you to carry out actions directly from the table. (e.g. book a placement) without having to open the data record.
