Order Type

The order type is important to control the billing of the spots. The order types are defined centrally in MYDAS: GeneralSettings > Ctrl. Values Booking > Order Type

The Order Type can be set/added to a Sub-Order and a Placement.

E.g. see "6. Order Type / Placement Budget" in this - https://cataneo.screenstepslive.com/s/7532/m/98342/l/1335225-create-a-placement - article.

Set up an Order Type

1. *Name: Mandatory field. An Order Type needs a name

2. *Identifyer: Mandatory field. This has to be unique.

3. *MediaGross: Mandatory field. Spots on this order type generate media gross if the flag is set. In case the flag is not set, the spots are free of charge. When creating a new Order Type this field is flagged by default.

4. Forecast relevants: Suborders of this order type are used for forecasting

5. Discountable: Discounts can be deducted from spots on the order type if the flag is set

6. CMT counting: Compensation resp. media gross of spots on this order type add to commitments

7. Lock: The order type is locked for new suborders and cannot be selected anymore. Already existing suborders are not affected by the lock. Order types cannot be deleted.

8. *Transaction Type: Mandatory field. Selection of the transaction type the order type will belong to (e.g. classic, countertrade)

9. *Price-type: Mandatory field. Selection of the price type

10. GRP invoice: If the flag is set, the suborders of this order type are invoiced via GRP invoicing. In GRP invoicing the listprices are ignored and instead the Cost per GRPs of the spots are taken into account.

11. DiscountGenerating: The booked media gross budget is used for the calculation of the standard discounts values

12. Demand CMT: The media gross of the spots is entitled to commitment rebates in kind

13. Is Accountable: The flag determines whether the order type can be invoiced

Replaceable OrderTypes

Order types that are allocated as replaceable order types can be replaced in case of overbooking.

Example:

Order type B is replaceable by order type A. If an ad break is almost completely booked and contains spots of order type B, users with respective rights are allowed to overbook the break with spots of order type A.

Linear and Non-Linear Booking

On linear bookings an order type that is not part of the deal there will be no suborder on the order for this ordertype. If an additional ordertype is to be used it is only needed to create a suborder with this ordertype and on campaign level a placement with this ordertype.

For non-linear bookings there is only a placement with the new order type required.

Further example:

Q.: What if a deal consists of multiple suborders, how is the set up of the campaigns/bundles/placements.

A.: Suborders should be already available due to the salesforce import. It only needs to create placements with the same order-type and link the suborder accordingly.
